Three places to settle in over coffee and food
One Fifteenth is the first choice for a breakfast spread and a coffee flight. Common Grounds fits a central Jakarta day, with its Citywalk location and all-day kitchen. A Roastworks makes more sense when you are heading west and want a meal at a working roastery.
One Fifteenth Coffee is the first choice for breakfast: Coffee flights, eggs, toast and Indonesian dishes at the Gandaria original. Arrive early if you want the communal room at its quietest. Common Grounds is the best central meeting spot: House-roasted coffee and a full breakfast or lunch at Citywalk Sudirman. Leave extra time during the office lunch rush. A Roastworks is the best roastery lunch: Try an espresso or filter upstairs, then stay for carbonara, ox-tail soup or tiramisu. The Green Ville kitchen offers more than breakfast plates.
Choose One Fifteenth if breakfast is the main plan, Common Grounds for a meeting near Sudirman, or A Roastworks for a longer lunch. All three offer espresso and manual brew, so there is something to compare while the food arrives. Gandaria, Citywalk Sudirman and Green Ville are separate outings. Pick the café nearest the rest of your plans rather than trying to visit all three. Parking can be tight at Gandaria and Green Ville; Citywalk gets busy with office workers at lunch.
Look elsewhere for a quiet tasting counter or a ten-minute espresso stop. These cafés are at their best when you have time for a meal.
