Bean Bank began as a multi-roaster bar and now roasts at Kemptpark, outside Zurich, while keeping guest coffees in rotation. Ask which house or guest bean suits your drink. Espresso, piccolo, flat white and decaf cover a range of orders, with pea milk as a non-dairy option.
The changing beans are worth discussing, particularly if you have a preference for fruitier coffees or a darker roast. You can try a cup before committing to a bag.
Filter
Pour-over and cold brew extend the choice beyond espresso. Tell the barista whether you want floral, fruity or fuller-bodied coffee and ask what is available. The retail shelf carries Bean Bank roasts, international guests and brewing equipment. Rare lots can be expensive, so compare the options before buying.
Food
Banana bread, cookies, cinnamon rolls and changing cakes or pastries accompany the drinks. There is enough for coffee and something sweet, but no full brunch menu. Eat elsewhere if you need a meal.

The Bärengasse counter near Paradeplatz, in the financial district, is smaller still and better suited to takeaway. Lagerstrasse offers more space and is convenient for the main station.
