Kross Coffee Roasters brings its Chania-roasted coffee to Vriaxidos 23 in Pangrati, east of central Athens. Espresso, filter coffee and retail beans give the stop a clear coffee focus, while cakes, sandwiches and upstairs seating make it useful for more than a takeaway.
The café is the brand's first Athens location. The two-floor room offers a choice between the conversation downstairs and a lighter upstairs space where working with a laptop is part of the café's everyday use.
Coffee
The menu runs from espresso and freddo drinks to filter coffee, with single-origin options and manual pour-over. Ask which coffees are available for your preferred brew; the beans and capsule selection also offers a way to take Kross home.
Matcha is available hot or iced, alongside the coffee programme. The connection to Kross's own roasting in Chania is the main reason to explore the coffee menu.
