Milan coffee is best planned as a set of short detours: compact Porta Venezia bars, bakery-led rooms east of the centre, roaster hubs around Viale Premuda, and a few west-side stops with real local rhythm.
Milan's coffee culture is still shaped by the fast Italian counter, but the specialty layer is now broad enough to plan deliberately. The useful route starts around Porta Venezia and the east side of the centre, then stretches toward Ticinese, Corso Magenta, and west Milan when the roaster or bakery is worth the extra journey.
