A glass-walled roasting room greets you at Naughty Coffee's corner entrance; beyond it, steel coffee counters face a wooden communal table. The café sits in Downtown Miami, beside the First Street Metromover station and two blocks from the waterfront at Bayfront Park. Come for a single origin and stay for lunch. Naughty also has coffee vans inside Aventura Mall to the north and Dadeland Mall to the southwest; Downtown is the location for on-site roasting and the full kitchen menu.
Coffee
Naughty roasts its own beans on the Loring behind the glass, with a changing selection of single origins. Start with an espresso or flat white and ask which coffee is pouring. The information card served with your cup gives you the origin and processing details to compare with what you taste.
For something cold and sweet, the Mont Blanc layers cold brew with orange and vanilla syrup, cream, zest and nutmeg. Matcha has its own short menu, including the Cloud Nine with coconut water and salted caramel matcha cream.
Filter
The separate hand-brew counter is the main reason to make this your Miami coffee stop. The menu runs from Costa Rican and Ethiopian coffees to Geisha and Sudan Rume, with prices from $6 to $20. Ask about processing before choosing between the natural and anaerobic lots. Allow time to drink it black, then choose a retail bag for home.
Food
The mortadella focaccia makes a substantial lunch: stracciatella, basil pesto and pistachios fill out the sandwich. Mushroom toast with burrata, an egg-and-bacon plate and a yoghurt bowl give breakfast more scope than the pastry case alone. Toasts and sandwiches mostly sit around $16–$18, so coffee and food can quickly become a $25 visit.
Service & Room
Staff make time for questions about the beans, and the glass roasting room lets you watch production alongside the coffee bar. Music can be loud, and the firm chairs suit a coffee or lunch break better than several hours at a laptop.
