Waycup packs coffee bags, brewing equipment and a few high tables into a small shop at the Pest end of Margaret Bridge, on the east bank of the Danube. Come to compare Hungarian and guest-roaster coffees, then choose beans to take home. Outdoor tables under the trees give you more space before a walk across to Margaret Island.
Coffee
Ask which coffees are open for espresso or a hand brew. Hungarian Impresso and Copenhagen’s April have featured on the menu, while a September 2026 Coffee Week cupping brought in Amsterdam’s DAK. Check the day’s selection before choosing a bag.
V60 and April Brewer sit alongside batch brew, espresso and milk drinks. Choose a hand brew when you want to explore a particular bean; batch brew suits a shorter stop. In autumn, the Apple Crumb Latte adds apple, cinnamon and milk to espresso. It is a seasonal choice; matcha and chai are also available.
Food & the room
The counter carries croissants, sandwiches, cakes and chocolate bonbons, with vegan cakes among the choices. Check the display before settling on a pastry: popular items can sell out. The retail shelves extend beyond coffee bags to Bialetti pots and other brewing accessories, so leave time to browse after your drink.
Order at the counter. Indoor seats are few and mostly high stools; the shaded outdoor tables are the better option when the weather allows. There is no guest toilet, so plan this as a coffee-and-cake break rather than a long stay. For a visit around Margaret Bridge, choose a hand brew, a seat outside and beans for later.
